I do like to see clever number plates whilst out and about, and the newreg website has a great tool for seeing if plate were ever issued. www.newreg.co.uk/search(Scroll to the bottom) I find it amusing that people pay so much money for something that isn't quite right! My plate is no exception - A10 WUN - supposed to be "A Low 'un". Rubbish really! This thread is inspired from a FTW plate I saw yesterday. I started looking and R12FTW (Retro Rides For The Win) is available for 146 pounds! 1FTW is slightly more expensive. One I've always wanted, but never released was RUB815H or how about R3TRO RUS7 51AMD Not retro, but WAY210W (Way too low) FAR210W (Far too low) etc for the lowrider Lets see your retro plates, whether you've seen clever plates on a car, or have your own ideas..

When I had a Vauxhall Victor 2000 FD I was interested to see the plate FD2000 or maybe 2000FD up for sale, but sadly at like a zillion quid.
TBH no matter how cheap these private plates are I can always find something better to spend my ££ on.
A mate has M4TRA on his Avantime (they were built by Matra) and SOR83T on his Deloren (he likes frosty deserts!)
I saw the plate 32ROD once, on a yellow Mini back in the 80s. Ideal for a '32 Ford, natch.
Andy Carter's Mopar 440 powered Ford Pop nearly had the plate 440POP on it but for the guy wanting too much money for it in the end. Shame, it should have been on there.

my mate wanted 545 LED for his 54 chrysler sled, but it hasn't been issued me an raoulduke, on the loong drive to get the hunter were discussing this, and liked the idea of having a fleet of vehicles with FTW plates, but then decided that i would be far more appropraite to our vehicles to have FTL on all of them! wonder if you can get R0 FL - kev

In Aus you can pretty much make up your own plates, and as long as it isn't offensive they'll sell it to you.
I am tempted by W123T for the Merc, or they do "Euro" style plates (which look German) which has V-TE 280 available (has to start with a V for Victoria).
Still not sure if it is naff though!
Heard a bloke on the radio who'd managed to get BQQBS through!

(I presume that's what you want it to 'spell')

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.
