I would be inclined to bring the inner arch straight out to the outer ;D Kind of like a little Tubbing job Give you loads more clearance for Fat Rubber or added lowness As its got to be cut and welded anyway, may as well improve clearance at the same time

I hate it when you start to dig at a little bit of rust, and then it allfalls apart right in front of your eyes. Sory to hijack your thread, but I was digging some scabby sealer from the gutters on my girlfriends mini and it all went horribly wrong. The roof was full of filler. Big hole New metal tacked into place

Anything for a quiet life ;D And it's got to be better than the filler that was holding it together. It was surprisingly easy actually, minis have a rail inside the roof that helped stop me setting fire to the interior ;D

I set fire to the interior of my metro turbo years ago, made a right fugging mess. Had to extinguish it with a nearby bottle of coke!

Yea, that Scooby engined blue beetle that graced the cover of retro cars a while back got burnt into oblivion when the owner set fire to the underseal, apparently it's fairly flammable Burnt it to a crisp Mind you, was only a Beetle (jests! honest Was a serious piece of kit...)

yep! my aim is for me to be able to take it somewhere non-car related, or maybe even a classic car show(providing the people there know nothing about mercs!) and park it up, and no one notice the fact its an estate........only the initiated will know they never existed sometimes i like subtle
