tell him to get out there and rally it LoL he's been building that for years ... piccy of one of ours on the Preston (with some dodgy bloke navigating ... god knows who he is! ) thought you would have posted this pic! Neil Bye sent it to me! reet, my car is slightly different to how darren describes it. Its 1500 now, ported head, with single 45 webber, it has lada bell hosuing with adapter plate for ford box, adapter plate is quick release so to remove the box, i take the prop off, gear box mounts, and remove 4 cap heads that face into the bell housing and its out! box has 5 speed tranex gear kit, with 2.48 first, and 4.4:1 english LSD, axel is 1/2 lada and 1/2 mkii escort. brakes are fiat croma turbo disks, volvo 4 pots, pedal box, i went for 2x6.25" cylinders, seem to work ok! Its got billstein all round, bronze bushing on the bottom wishbones, compomotive th wheels, sd cage, a few light weihgt parts liek the plastic rad and small starter... now its back on the road, its mint! ill post a vid of it next time it rains And Mike, all going well, i got steven pughie [Pughie!] naving for me if the gogledd runs, Baz Green said its looking promising, so come over for that, and ill show you how a lada should be prepaired and driven

Right wheres me wallet... Is that not a Fiat? Italian colours on the windscreen, quad square lamps... Shame on you Kyteler, that is a FIAT 125 T , A KIWI ICON!!!!, They only built 80 of them and FIAT went ballistic because it was strictly off the record.they arte a Homolgation special and only New Zealand has them.I made all the intake boxes for them. They had twin webbers, hot cams ,flowed heads ,obvious suspension mods, and a LSD.along with really nice mags.

Sorry, what i should have said ,,SHAME ON Kyteler for NOT recognising a KIWI motor sport Icon. I haven't been to NZ for something like 20+ years so i guess they are more rare now than they were when new,but they were still legendary and helped sell lots of FIATS and LADAS, when they were introduced....except that lada's only advantage was the huge pile of tools that came with each car. ;D ;D

I infact saw a 125T sitting in a shed at round the time of SFoS last year, near Dunedin, which is what made me recognise it as a Fiat instead of a Lada ;D

Glad to hear it passed the MOT! Darren, could you PM me Jonny's email address, I've got some excellent Lada pics from a Lada garage I found in Germany yesterday for him.
