passed, with some work... pair of tyres (old ones had badly perished) and a brake line, well, "the" brake line, I knew it was a bit manky at the rear but it turns out that line is the main front to back one as well, or something.
Annoyingly I was hoping to make the tyres last until I could get these alloys off Mr Skool but my mate of many years who does my MOTs won't let me drive the car out on the ones its on. They are that bad. Not bald, but decomposing, tread comig off the carcass. Oops. I CBA faffing about collecting the wheels and sorting some cheap part worns, bringing them back etc, so its getting a pair of some Chinese cheapo specials.
So I guess thats not so bad. Could have done it for less than £50 if I spent a day on it myself, got some part worns, but its cold and I'm lazy and he only charges me mates rates so I think its cost me £120 for the lot. Its not worth getting cold for that.
The scary thing is the MOT wasn't even due for a little bit yet, but I wanted to get the brake pipe done so thought I might as well have an MOT done as well. Tyres looked "old" but not that bad.
So Corolla PWAAARRRR! for another year and at a reasonable cost.
Means I have to give back the Accord I've been bezzin about in the last few days while its been up the workshop
I can't believe how knackered that Honda feels for a 108K mile car.
