I thought it was about time I put up pics of my retro camera collection. I've really enjoyed looking at other members' cameras! I apologise in advance for the ironically curse word photos of my collection... ^ Beirette 35mm. Nice compact little camera, was sold in branches of Boots in the 1970's apparently. ^ Mamiya 35mm, boxed with instructions. This was donated by my uncle. ^ Yashica Electro 35. I think this was top-of-the-range when new. ^ Zenit-E 35mm SLR Moscow Olympics special edition. 99p Ebay bargain. "In Soviet Russia..." etc... ^ 1980's Miranda point-n-shoot. ^ ...and one from the 1990's ^ Nice Carl Zeiss light meter And here's the Polaroids... I love Polaroid photos, they just have this warmth and honesty that's lost in today's equivalent, the mobile phone camera. Films are pricey though. ^ Polaroid Super Swinger! ^ Accompanying instruction manual ^ Polaroid Joycam ^ Modern one And these were very kindly given to me by our very own Seth... ^ Very old Kodak. I can't work out how to open this one to set it up to shoot. Some detail shots... Another similar one was a little easier to figure out, I took an arty shot... ^ And a Prinz 110. I'm a fan of the 110 format cameras too! I need to find more of these gems.

Nice to see Benzboy I think the one you can't open is the similar to the other? On the one you've opened yuou're then supposed to pull the lense section out along the then horizontal runners so the bellows behind them kind of open. The bellows are so old and stiff though that you have to be real easy on them. I think they've split on one of the cameras? Maybe I should borrow one of the 35mm's for next years Goodwood

Slater - I remember seeing your collection of Polaroids on here - very nice! The Super Swinger is in good condition apart from the rubber viewfinder attachment which went hard and crumbled. Can you still get that format film for those? Seth - My uncle opened the one that I couldn't, but when I came to try the other day I couldn't get it to. I didn't want to try it too hard as I didn't want to break it! Next time I see him I'll ask him about it. The bellows on the other one seems reluctant to expand. I've gingerly pulled it out half-way but again I don't want to tear anything. I think it's just a case of easing it very slowly until the bellows separate from each other. And taking one to Goodwood would be great! Just let me know

Haven't used the SLR yet - to be honest I haven't used many of them as I tend to either use my phone or my digital camera. What I'm going to start doing though, is taking one out with me along with my digital camera. 2002Gimp - that sounds great! Are you planning to be at any Notts meets? Saying that, I don't know whether I will be, as I don't have a working car...

Hi Mike - I'm not really sure about prices, as I don't sell any cameras and the ones I get are either very cheap or free! ;D There's some interesting info on the Moscow Olympics commemorative cameras here
