Wanted cheap japanese truck toyota hi lux, mazda b2000/2200,
nissan d21 or bedford kb.
Would also consider shogun, landcruiser, surf ect, must be diesel and i am not bothered if t@t or not, the cheaper the better, anything considered.

stay away from surfs mate they are big trouble hence why there so cheap

I'll second that - only the later 3.0 Surfs are worth a punt - avoid an early one like the plague, unless it's just had a new head and is incredibly cheap.
The D21 probably has the least 'scene tax' out of the ones you mentioned, but don't rule out a Terrano II/Maverick (one day, I'll have convinced everyone that these are one of the best value 4x4's...) ;D

:)avoid the early surfs and the 2.5 pajero,s ,also the 3.0 troopers [later one] ,i had the D21 [shown belowis it still about in wales?] i bought it with 200000 miles on it ,in 4 years i had 1 fog light in 4 mots ,it Never let me down,it was driven in and out of slipways daily ,it was even comfortable to drive.i then sold it for £150 pound more than i paid for it!!!!it was a brilliant truck which my mates christened the 'taliban truck' ;D I the bought an import trooper [bighorn lotus] one of the lotus handling models[which incredibly makes a difference] it has everything,i have had this for 5 yrs and it has been faultless ,both of these are a little thirsty [but are'nt all of them?] i could reccommend either of these ,i still run the trooper daily and love it to bits,   |

yes ,it started badly ,petered off in the middle and the least said about the end the better!!!

ive got a nissan 720 kingcab with a diesel isuzu 2.8 but it needs finishing.
loads of new parts too new ally tipper bed the lot..
