hi all, bought a volvo 740 on monday having slight starting problems... all started when i was driving ot back from the sellers, on the way back the car stalled at a roundbout and wouldnt start.
engine turns but does not fire. well being a autobox couldnt tow the car back home so a mate collected it on a flatbed truck.
Tryed starting at home and started straight away ran for a while and stalled, didnt want to start again.
seems like it has a hot start problem, i thought it was the coil causing the problem pulled one out of my 940 and pluged it in the 740 it started today ran for a hour or so and then stalled again, tryed starting it wouldnt.
pluged the coil back in my 940 and it works, pluged the 740 coil back on the 740 still wouldnt start. well that concluded that the coil is not at fault.
what else do i look at to fix this? has anyone had a hotstart problem? how did you go about fixing it?
