I use www.interparcel.com and it usually works out best to send them as 2 pairs of wheels. They will send the courier to collect them from your door To pack them (if they have tyres) Get some thick cardboard, cover the faces well and bundle them in pairs, face to face with loads of parcel tape. If they are bare rims, its best to box them up.

Cut a disc of thick cardboard out and tape it to the face to protect from chipping and scratches, then wrap each one in a black bin bag and tape it up well. If you are really keen of they are very valuable, wrap each in an old sheet before the binbag. Either take them to the local depot o your choice of courier, or use one of the services like www.postvan.com or www.parcel2go.com who will come collect them from your house.

Put them in a box, or wrap them up in paper and brown tape, and take them to the post office.
Obvious really.

AVOID www.wheelcourier.com (also advertise on ebay I think). I sent a set of BBS RAs with them last month, well packaged in pairs, and only 3 arrived (one package bust open). DHL were the courier, but as it was booked through wheelcourier they won't deal direct with me. Wheelcourier are only contactable by email, and have a policy of not replying to any

I use pharosparcel.com and this is how i send smaller wheels (whole package weight under 30kg) or for bigger rims just do them in two packs of two. carrying handle is just a piece of mains cable.
