I hate vinyl roofs. Just about every car I have had with one the roof has rusted through underneath. They are the work of Satan

My grandfolks had a green Mk3 Cortina with a vinyl roof. It was fitted free by the dealer as during delivery the car roof was scraped, so the dealer phoned and asked if they'd prefer to wait for another car, or have a free vinyl roof. When they came to trade it in for a Cortina 80 the dealer pointed out the rust bubbles starting for form down the centre of the roof under the vinyl and wanted to knock the tradein proce down. Luckily one of the workshop guys remembered fitting the roof in a bit of a hurry, seems they'd not bothered treating the bare metal. Oooops!

These people are the kiddies: www.polyfacto.co.uk/Theve been making vinyl roofs for years for both manufacturers and classic car restorers, along with convertible hoods. Lots of different pattern options and reasonably priced. The last time I did one it only cost me £40 all in. They are in Hailsham East Sussex, but on the A22 so pretty easy to get to from the M25. Hope that helps
