Not sure if any interest here, or if the cars for sale is the right place, but here goes...
Well, I will tell the story in shortened version here.
My younger brother came over to visit me in July this year.
He saw an Africa twin he liked a lot, as he always had the hots for them, even though he has/d an 1150GS fully kitted out at home.
A few months later, the bike came up for sale, and the owner offered it to me.
I called my brother told him the price and along with transporting it back to South Africa, it would still come to him at a price he was prepared to pay, as they are not that common back there.
I then bought the bike on his behalf here, paid the man etc, only to be texted by my brother a few days later to call him (Cheaper that way) His 22 year old son had created some havoc in Durban where he lives (not sure if its girl trouble or something more sinister)
Anyway suddenly the money he had earmarked for a bike went AWOL.
I have had the bike parked in the garage, uninsured, locked down, but with MOT till 08 February 2009 and Tax till end February 2009.
I know as is sometimes the case, now is not the time some people buy bikes, but this one is for sale right now.
I am selling it with all the extras I got with it, and about 10 miles more than when I got it.
I DO NOT WANT TO SPLIT, the potential new owner can do that, or keep it all and use it all.
I will post some pics of the bike and its bits as they are.
2001 Y - Reg Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin.
First registered around June 2001.
Full dealer service history, Fastidious owners from new, garaged etc.
Looking at the extras alone that were fitted to the bike I guess it adds up to around £1000.00 or there about.
Mileage as indicated, currently under 14k miles.
I would like £3200.00 for this very neat bike as it stands, as I have no use for it, having an '06 plate 1200GS which suit me and Ms Grizz perfectly.
Bike located in Kent, in the ME 1 postal code area for routeplanner action.
I have not insured the bike, as I had no plan to ride it , just to crate and export it.
The bike has a new front tyre which has probably not done 50 miles.
Rear Tyre very good.
