	I have a "heath robinsonesque" engine hoist, built from angle iron, and steel box section. SWL of 254KG. Screwjack, not hydraulic. Folds flat enough to go under a car with a bit sticking out the end. Also, a Machine Mart engine stand. £40 for the hoist £20 for the stand £50 the pair. TO BE COLLECTED from Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 (near M4 J17 or J16, between Bath and Swindon). 	Those engine hoists are brilliant. Got one myself (its older than me) and ive taken engines out at the side of the road no problems other than my wheels are razor blades which makes manovering difficult. Even lifted a granny V6 out a scorpio with G/box attached. Its now slightly bent though.

	Is it "homemade" or is it something you could buy? It certainly is easier to transport than a hydraulic one.

	I think mine is one you could buy many moons ago. Its just like yours only the wheels are 10mm thick (wibblepoo) and the stableizing bars are circle not square. Other than that its identical. Ive lost my windy handle though. Great for shoving in the boot and going here and there to whip potential engines out of knackers.
