Now call me a complete numpty if you want but i've been having this thought for a while now. What I'm thinking is getting somthing like this And putting it across the back of this Running along just below the rear bumper and pointing out at a slightly jaunty angle. Do you think this might work?

I'm thinking it might look stupid too, but i think like you say its just one of those things I need to try. I think it all comes down to size at the end of the day. If its too big its gonna stick out like a sore thumb and if its too small its gonna look pointless. I've got an image of it in my head and i think it might work as long as i can keep it fairly subtle.

I'm thinking it might look right. It would look even more spot on stuck on the back of my car!

I've seen ones on Imps that aren't awful looking, and are normally borne out of practicality, seeing as there isn't any other way to get a decent silencer on an Imp's exhaust, but on most other motors, and especially ones that aren't rear engined, I probably wouldn't bother. Especially as it's only a cosmetic thing, isn't it, I mean you can get a decent silencer on a Cortina or similar as it is, whearas on an Imp or I suppose a Beetle it's either that or a very short exhaust (personally I prefer the little exhaust, silencing doesn't bother me! ;D ;D ) but I still wouldn't have thought a Cortina would suit it.

Now call me a complete numpty if you want Ok you're a complete numpty! Go Photoshop first. I've seen a couple of things you/Bazza have done before and you seem to get a pretty realistic picture. Get a nice close-up of the Tina's rear end and shop the 'zorst. Not too heroic I know, but it beats shelling out all the cash for one then finding it looks rubbish. Then post the pics on here of course so we can give the proper 'suck it and see' opinion...ya never know, it might bowl everyone over.

Personally I wouldn't fit one across the rear panel unless it was actually rear-engine.
But it could look good - however, side exiting pipes WOULD look good ;D
