Still reading my way though this but it's shocking.
How can you not notice four bald tyres, no horn, knackered exhaust, no brakes, oil leaks, a big crack in the windscreen etc when you are looking at buying a car?.
Whats wrong with people? Golden rule when buying in a car, If you haven't got a clue, take someone with you that has!!.

To be fair, (and I'm only up to page 10) I do feel really sorry for the guy because he's clearly been scammed like a mother humper. Shame to think that someone "trusted" would take the pee so much.
But on the other hand, sounds like the dude needs to get a bit better at viewing/buying cars etc.
But, seriously, he's been f**ked over, that's harsh.

I didnt think dodgy MOT's existed any more. they're all so traceable, why would anyone bother? is what i thought. But they do still exist, I bought a Citroen C15 van about a year ago, with a brand new MOT. half the lights didnt work, it had no sidelight bulbs at all in the front, wiper blades knacjered, no spare wheel, exhaust hangers missing, headlamps rusty and not fastened in properly, in short no MOT tester had bothered to look at it, he'd just written the certificate out. It would have been entirely justified to go staright round to the MOT shop who did it, and wang it back in their face, there would have been nothign they could say, it was quite blatantly dodgy. Or we could have complained to VTi or whatever. Why woud a garage risk all that hassle for £40? I don't understand it. ANyway we couldnt do any of that stuff cos i A-framed the van across to my family in france, in less than a week the engine died, it was a total POS. Mutha_Bo11ox sued the geezer and won.... he never paid up like. FUGGIN MORONS

thing is, yeah, anyone who knows about cars should be able to spot a snotter. However that does not excuse people for ripping off people who can't. The OP sounds like a youngish lad who has more enthusiasm than experiance and the two chaps who bodged up MOT'd and sold him a POS sound like total Berkley Hunts. The funny thing is how they try justify what they have done. Sounds like AKki (no relation!) and his mate makes a habbit of buying shitters and floggin them on.

Phew. I read the title, saw who posted it and immediatly had visions of a certain corrola turning out to not even be a real car, but a cunning replica fashioned from matchsticks, newspaper, an old velour three-peice and a ride on lawn tractor. With a Dodgy MoT.
Part right then ;D

I didnt think dodgy MOT's existed any more. they're all so traceable, why would anyone bother? they do. spacekadett told me of one recent farce where some plank gets his car impounded for no MOT, gets his mot testing mate to print a certificate, which has the time and date on it when the car is sitting in an impound yard with CCTV pointed at it. what a retard who's never allowed to test anything again. bent tests are really easy, just type the details in and run a different car through for the brakes and emmissions that sounds really bad for the lad. probably took a bit of courage to name and shame a top posting forum member. I bet its the quickest way to seriously shot down in flames on a forum by saying that "he might seem like everyones friend but he is in fact a total c0ck-wringer!". hope the guy gets some commeuppance for passing on rubbish like that.
