That or that ropey looking Citroen CX on eBay. What could possibly go wrong with that? Nothing at all, they're the bulwark of reliability. should I worry the seller says its on the Vcar register? I suspect it will be the dreary Datsun (actually a Nissan but its too early for a good N word from me). Mainly because its close-ish. My car selection criteria is now "whats the closest early 80s car with T&T under £600"

oh FFS, another retard. Painful attempt at a conversation and it turns out it has no MOT. Mrs Ku would slaughter me, and TBH I CBA with that. So two weeks now with cash in my pocket, and no car yet. Not even got anything worth looking at now.

Hmmm... Escort cab? possible. They do drive quite OK. DE7 isn't that far from here. Only think I spot is "standing for 6 months" which is eBay seller code for "car runs really badly, no idea why" and is only one step down from "could do with a good service" which translates to "requires replacement engine"
we'll see.
Ideally I'd like something with an autobox in it. I just missed a great looking Mk3 Escort 1.6GL auto estate for £250!

They actually drive really nicely (though get a bit rattley with age). Not fast by any stretch of the imagination, but pokey enuf.
