I've totally ignored Korean whips, because they're mainly boring and driven by people who aren't interested in motors. However, in some unfortunate circumstances, I've ended up looking after a fully loaded Hyundai Sonata V6 and at the weekend, I got covered on it and smoked it around for a few hundred miles. What a car. I've driven mucho expensive cars that ride terrible in comparison. It's so comfortable too, but anyway, it got me thinking. We have J-tin, and until two years ago, I couldn't really see the appeal of these, but having fallen for Japs, I'm now feeling Korean love. How wrong would it be to slam one of these ('my one' is dark blue) on banded steels?

Isn't the general feeling that these are entertainingly awful?? So as long as you get your mits on a post-2001 top-spec'r, it should be pretty much disposable in 18months time, due to tax, so everything will be fair game. Brushed on camo paint and chopped springs it is then, and cruise around listening to your standard 10disc changer as people wonder wtf your driving D

That would be freaking awesome, esp in 'urban' camo style.

Hmmm. Korean love. Can I join in? For all these are much the object of derision, my Mum had one a while back and while it would only do 70 absolutely flat out with a tail wind, I actually quite liked it!!

Only 70? Once hit 100 in my 800cc Mk1 Matiz. And bumped straight into the rev limiter! That was down a very steep hill...
Loved that car. Didn't really do fast or cornering (understeer city) but the bark of that little triple used to bring joy to my heart. But, I am a bit odd...

Ah, well, it was 5 up at the time, so it maybe had a bit of an excuse, but I'm right with you on the engine 'bark'. It was a right rorty little number. I need help!!
