I've watched this one before! Last time, a few months ago, it went for over £1500 quid, just been on again by new owner and reached £770 - had a buy it now of £2K! - looks like they've had a reality check! I've seen the car in the flesh at last years E38 show and it looks like it's just been driven out of the showroom - not a mark on it anywhere! If only I had the money......

I'm with the seller on this one! NO matt balck, NO angle grinder on the springs, NO big shiny wheels - just look and enjoy!

I'd just lower it nicely, and put some wide period alloys on it with stretched rubber and leave it at that - nothing you couldn't put back to standard. Would look loverly - similar treatment that my mates have done to their gold MK1 Polo.

Someone pass the Dyson...yoghurt spilled after seeing that Golf!
Good to see these unmolested 70's motors coming out of the woodwork (not that I am biased...), should really be kept standard when they are that nice in my opinion.
Seems like a nice slice of 70's Mk1 history for £800. Jetta buy-it-now just seems too much to me, although if it was a GLi I'd bite his arm off!
