Good stuff with the exhaust stud too - that was frustrating you last afternoon from what I could tell.
I'm hoping I've plumbed the fuel lines right as it was a bit of a head-scratcher hahah

Yeh, from the UK, cost 79.99 Cool,that's good value! Is there a specific p/n you need to quote for them? Yeh, you can only get them with the part numbers - which can be supplied via PM if required. PM-only as I'm sure stocks are low and wouldnt want them blitzed |

engine is bolted in, and done some of the wiring. Had to modify throttle linkage. but power steering pipes don't fit, went to hydraulic shop and they don't have anything to suit unless I get the original pipes lengthened in the middle. Probably gonna have to go that route.  Still got to do the heater pipes, and exhaust. Tried the zx front pipe on, but it hits the steering. grr.  Gonna be a three dayer this one! Amazing how much was different in the end, trans switch, engine and trans mounts, alternator, exhaust, throttle, PAS, sumps, heater connections, and if course wiring and fuel / air system. |

i remember when you bought this, and i thought i had read the readers rides ... but clearly not!
I had no idea what was going on! Massive pat on the back from me mate for making such good progress, and keeping it moving on whether that be by getting stuck in or getting others involved to help!
i really cannot wait to see this up close - possibly my most anticipated car of the year in fact.
BTW - black rocks! Its why my bug is black, cos when its right there it NOTHING better! For some reason i think your ride can pull off most colours, as long as the associated detailing is right. I could see a burnt orange on it, candy red, or even something like audi nimbus grey.

Its certainly been a steep learning curve with this one as I'm trying to do as much as I can myself, but its good fun - if hard work lol As for colour, its just gonna get a blow-over in something in a week or two to tidy it up/protect it. I'm mainly looking forward to being able to use it properly as its been too unreliable, but the new engine will sort that  |

burger.. the starter doesn't fit either. which is a pain since your old one is dodgy. oh ffs Didnt you say before (when i was first having troubles with the starter) that you had others in 'stock'? Could swap the good 280ZX one for an appropriate one? Failing that, just use the old starter... it does work most times but mostly plays up when the engine doesnt like to start - which hopefully wont be a problem with this new one seeing as it used to start on the button? |

What sort of power increase are you looking at Johnny? I'm not sure really... maybe 30bhp? The plate under the hood of the Cedric says 139bhp and online I've found 280ZXs listed at around 170 (depending where you look) I'm not fussed about the power anyhow - its just a bonus reallt |

Ooh. pipes are correct fitting but are about 3 inches too short due to different pump location. Box end are both banjo hoops . Pump is a big thread , and a 3/8 slip joint (ordinary hose clip) for the return.  |
