Oy oy krew! I made it! The old koop did just shy of 2000km in 3 days and I never had to open the bonnet! Amazing, a real testimony to these old Japanese clunkers. Seemed to average about 30 mpg, cruising at 70-75 mph.
It was great to put names to faces and the show itself was GREAT. No concours comp, almost no barryboys, none of those idiots giving an over-loud demo of snake-oil wonder-polish on the standard issue red mini bonnet all day, just joads of fascinating DIY projects and super-cool 70’s + 80’s metal. Thanks very much to our esteemed leaders for setting up the R-R stand which was easily the most interesting and diverse.
On the other side it’s really inspired me to get rid of the Mazda and get a proper go-faster project on the go, I am just not the type to worry about fingernail-sized rust specks and a missing interior light, and that’s the kind of person the Maz needs. So if anyone fancies it make me an offer about 900 quid.
Plug over, Cheers all! Nice one!
