schmidts / ronal turbo's.
Front so low it can't get over a rizla. Back a lil' higher.
Single light front (I assume it has twins?) Battleship grey primer (with one white door and a wing in red oxide) Suitably "distressed" hood.
Remove all extranious trim and replace as necessary with iron cross door mirrors etc.
1-8T jengine from current VAG range. Chromed where applicable. All "unneccessary" items (washer bottle, wiring etc) removed from bay and "hidden".
Job done. Respect Due.
Job Done.

How about,... Make it as smoooooooth as possible. door handles, petrol filler, repeater etc. etc. But also that lower body line/seam, single piece windows, bumper. Find some alternative rear lights and recess them into the bumper (horizontally) then smooth off the whole of the rear... Airbags/hydros + 13 or 14" Wire wheels ,.. A bit like a Golf version of this : retrorides.proboards29.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=1120070243

def ronal turbo's stretched rubber, and supa slammed. If it was a saloon the i would say go for the mega wide arches and fully stripped. But as its a cab go for smooth as previously posted.

The trick with a good custom/modifying job is to pick your theme and stick to it. A lot of cars get build with one idea in mind, but then over egg the pudding by adding in too many influences. So if you choose your styles, cal-look-lowrider, or Hermanlook-offroader ,.. or whatever! Make sure you assemble your ideas and stick to them. That Red golf is almost perfect, but I think the chrome under the door handles and the roof union jack have aver egged it. A little more restraint would have been spot on. So my theme for your car (as you already have most of it in place) is black and white. I shall photoshop when I get them time

i had come to the same conclusion of black and white. so far i have come up with single lamp grill, bumpers back to black, remove side trim and dropped on its on black steels with whitewalls, no idea what style you would call it but in my mind it works (and in the really rough photoshop i did too) ;D

black steels with whitewalls sounds cool, what size steels you thinking of? I've got 5 13" steel rims off a Skoda Felicia that should fit or are you going 15"?
