Well, after 25 years of waiting I have finally got a decent garage to work in. I'm like a dog with two dicks! ;D
About 8 weeks ago I started out with this
Which leaked like a sieve was cramped and was also full of "useful" stuff .
Most of said stuff was dispatched to the local tip, what was left was stashed in my neighbours garage next door (the one with the green doors) and the garage was removed one fine morning by a couple of guys with a f**k-off big petrol Stihl saw and a truck.
Then some more nice guys with several Kango's and a JCB came along and removed all the concrete and grass.
The fence was looking "a bit tired" so we replaced it with a spangly new one to help keep prying traveller eyes out and then said nice men laid a lovely new base for a lovely new garage. A bit of cable to put some power down there was laid along with a couple of CAT5's so I can have an internet connection and a phone. I even dropped in a water pipe so I can have a sink to make tea and wash my greasy hands should the fancy take me. Not sure whether I will bother with that though, we'll see.
They also laid a sh*t load of new patterned concrete to park 4 or 5 cars on
Much more functional than grass and I don't have to cut it either, bonus!
And then last week while I was sunning myself on an African beach, some more nice men came along and built me a new double (and a bit!) garage so I can hit things with large hammers and weld stuff together in perfect happiness all through the winter.
To say I'm chuffed is an understatement. ;D ;D
