Hi all,
Just a quickie (ooh-er) to say hello!
RCS was a brilliant event, it has got my mind working overtime so as to be ready for next years show!
Anyone else brave enough like me to not stick their fingers in their ears when the jet car burned off down the strip? what did you say?! d'oh!
Chris

Hello! I'm guessing you drive a Snapdragon-coloured Clubman ;D
I've seen the Jet car before, I remembered to stick my fingers in my ears!

Gets on my nerves tbh, everytime you go up there its going down the strip seems a bit pointless to me. Still I suppose it brings the crowds to the track

Hello Chris, I personally was walking about when the Jet car was doing its run, way easier to get pics and to place flyers when the crowds are drawn away

Hi all, Thanks for the warm and friendly reception!!! I do indeed drive a snapdragon clubman! I'll slap some pics up of it in readers rides, and you can all play spot the rust! it's a real easy gam on my car! got a few other cars aswell, Landrover 90 awaiting a high compression V8 conversion, and a Maestro which is soon to be powered by a T series, turbo, or home made throttle bodies on a NASP engine. It's to be a weightless wonder, no interior, dash, heater, polycarb windows, should go alright! still, I had wanted that ready for this years RCS, and it's still pretty much in the same state of play as it was early last summer, ie sulking in a corner and untouched!! Hey, I was buuusy! Chris

I've seen the Jet car before, I remembered to stick my fingers in my ears! I've seen it before, it's a great time to get a burger! No queues! Although don't take my nonchalance as a dig at the jet car...it's truly awesome - the thing that most first-timers at the 'Pod remember the most...and quite rightly so.

I was with a group of people that hadn't seen it before, so I wanted to see the looks on their faces ;D
Maestro eh? There was a white one with a cage in I saw rumbling around, but missed getting a photo... Damn!

Hi again guys, Tony, it's not a dumb-ass question at all! snapdragon is the atypical yellow that came on BL cars in the late 70's and early 80's, there was also nica yellow, virtually any Dolly Sprint you see will be in inca! If you saw the yellow Princess on the RetroCars stand, that was in snapdragon yellow! B) I have a few shocking pics of the cars in my life, so I will seek them out and post them up post haste! Oh yeah, the white Maestro belongs to a fella called Jay who posts on the triple-m.co.uk site, it has around 250bhp from a T series turbo, nice! I still want throttle bodies over a turbo though, induction roar rules!

Looking forward to the pics. My 1275 GT is Inca yellow with a black roof. There's another Inca yellow GT with a black roof on here, the rotten git pinched my look.
Just pulling your leg PSmurfy, I got plans for mine ;D

Greetings Christoff!
Doh! I can't believe I didn't twig this was you, even after reading about the Maestro. I didn't even recognise your particular brand of humour. What a dumbass! All I can say in my defense is that it was late, post 10:00pm (who shouted wuss?! I need my beauty sleep). Get some piccys of your Clubby up. Best to use the ones with the 7x13s on, not the ones of how it looks now. Actually, I could hold you to ransom....Who want's to see a pic of Chris's car now with it's current rolling stock and unfeasably wide arches? I shouldn't worry Chris, I'm completely inept at posting pictures! Now tell the nice boys and girs more about your cars, and don't mention the hole in my floor, it's a self bailing device!
