It certainly doesn't affect the commodities market, interbank loan rates, capitalisation on assets, lack of controlled equity or any of the things which have caused the price rises and the slow down.
Too many people borrowed too much money, the banks have been very careless loaning it and the governments answer seems to be to give tax payers money to the banks to try and force them to loan more money!
Or you can blame some foreigners if you like.
