if he's trying to make it look like a 'cuda, why not just buy one? but I like the colour! Perfect ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Even better if you can find a way to appreciate the work that has gone into it ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I appreciate the amount of work going into it, check my first post! the guys obviously got skills. but why waste those skills(and a capri) on making a capri look rubbish.

[quote author=boring board=general thread=48126 I appreciate the amount of work going into it, check my first post! the guys obviously got skills. but why waste those skills(and a capri) on making a capri look rubbish. [/quote] but isnt customising about personal taste.taking a car you like and modifying it to youre own style. what would you prefer he built.something you liked. I'm sure if he had known youre views he would have contacted you for youre opinions befor he started,NOT. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) as with proportions being wrong I'm sure the owner with all his talent knew the look he was after and pulled off what he set out to achieve. if the owner ends up reading this, well done, youre car looks stunning.

![](http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/stoppitandtidyup/Avatars%20etc/reansigys.jpg) it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Bits of it are fapping gorgeous! Just not so sure about others.... Was a bit dissapointed when it was painted silver too ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Think it would look awesome in black personally.

Think I know whats wrong with you all... stop imagining it as a baracuda, and take it for what it is... a chopped capri. He's done an excellent job. Roof chops can be murder to do, and I've never seen one done on a capri that looked 100%, this one is pretty close though.. If it was mine, I'd now be figuring how to section 6" out of the sides of the car to bring it back in proportion again ;D I do love the way it makes the standard capa look more lika saab 900 in the pics tho, that made me chuckle.. like a saab, funny, never noticed that, does make mine look like its gonna fall over. i managed to fit in it aswell with an inch or two to spare, typical capri, great view down the bonnet with a differrent twist, gettin out as quite undignified for me, and I'm only 5'11''

This was built by a working stiff of the Manchester Capri Club. He didn't write a check. He crammed the work in 2-3 days a week after his regular job, beginning in April 2008. the donation! ;D norm, its manchester classic ford club, not a capri only club ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) manny has had the car since new and it was badly damaged after an altercation with a hgv, so would have probably ended up being scrapped, only he saved it ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) , so a capri hasnt been 'ruined' like some seem to believe ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Cheers, Chris. Will correct the club name in prev post. Oh, and IMO, if he had taken a minter and done this conversion on it, it would have been no ruination of anything. This is magic work. He has mad mad skillzors. I wish he'd build me a shell just like it. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Well, I'm loving that personally. Doesnt look dimensionally wrong at all to my eyes! Agree it would be nice to see it on some bigger rims.

I think that it is the retention of the Capri wage line which adds so much visual 'bulk'... *n Do you have an issue with your swage line Penski? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) For the record I think that the car is pretty dang cool. My swage line is vast and prominent... *n

Ah-HA!!!! I found what I was looking for. I knew the 'Cuda Capri stirred some deeply filed away memory chip. Here it is! 1966 AMX Prototype: ![](http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l171/Team_Blitz/AMCAMXprotoype.jpg) ![](http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l171/Team_Blitz/10-08FrtRHview.jpg) Dayam, that's cool!

love it very well done and to a very good standard ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) i think as some have mentioned the swage line on a Capri is very large and flat so if i were doing it i would maybe have used a modified wide body kit like the triple x pack just to bring out the sides and enhance the muscle look and maybe fit a set of twin round tail lights and 17"ARE's ;D on first look at it it reminded me of this ![](http://www.wyldsyd.com/images/2008_camaro/2008camaro_0013.jpg)

Lets not beat around the proverbial bush.... It is the shizz. I completely agree that it could be verging on underwheeled, but it doesn't mean I'm left feeling underwhelmed. I'm, infact, left somewhat damp ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Does anyone know whats its running? V8, V6 YB? D
