Not exactly a retro request, but I know most of us have 'moderns' often for sale around us !

I'm after a cheap daily diesel ( or lpg ) hack.
Not bothered of VAG or not, in fact given the reliability of my Audi A6 recently more the not !!
Ideally a small (ish) hatchback under 2ltr, with plenty of MOT and service history is always a plus.
Age wise, after 2000 would be a bonus, mileage under 90K is another bonus.
Most importantly it MUST be reliable, as I commute 190 miles a day 3/4 times a week.
I've got upto 3k to spend, and the closer to the Midlands the car is the quicker I'll be spending it !
I know its a lot to be asking these days, but if anyones has something along the lines of above, let me know
