I won't be there when you cross the road, so always use the Green Cross Code.

I know we all hate the new Mini's and Beetles because they are pale imitations of the originals.
But we all like 30's rods don't we?
So is the PT an abomination unto the lord or just naff.
Or even OK?

its rubbish. its front wheel drive for one, so its another curse word as they come shoddy imitation. ie new beetle engine at wrong end driving wrong wheels, i don't know many hot rods that were front wheel drive.
if it was rwd and packed a big stonking v8 then i would like the thing no matter how stupid looking it is.

They do nothing for me to be honest. I very nearly liked the "hot rod hearse" styling when they came out, I knew it was just wannabe retro with no character of it's own, but it could have been worse. But I've driven one, and to be honest I can't see how it benefits from being a practical MPV mixed with a classic hot rod, because it really is neither. As an MPV there are more practical, cheaper, and even more characterful and enjoyable to drive people movers on the market, even if the Cruiser's a comfy car to drive, and I really couldn't see how a diesel (the car I drove was anyway) front driver designed to drop kids off at school could replicate the driving experience of a juiced to hell 1940 Ford or a Willy's saloon with a walloping big V8 squeezed in, and it certainly didn't feel like a custom to me. And it wouldn't make a practical hearse either, even if you did paint it black!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I shall stick my head above the parapet and say I quite like 'em. A distinctive family chugga. OK so it's a bit pastische retro, but it's still a more interesting choice than a Mongdeo or Vektra.

Nope sorry don't like them. Only redeeming feature is that they look different to all other euroboxes on the road.

I quite like them. Car companys these days have a habit of cloning each others car so it great when something abit different comes out.
