 Painted the rear wing.  Painted the front end. Now most of it are going to be painted yellow anyway so I don't care too much about the results really.  I still have to weld the holes for the side trim and recess antennas in this rear wing, but I primed it while I was still at it, and it looks quite smooth already, actually. |

 looking' more finished now - without being even close.   It may look a bit tight but I think it will barely make it, maybe with some adjustments of the arch. AKA, just the way it should be!   A bit fatter than the original.  Some whitewall tyres and my brand new hubcaps on this one, yes please.   Sexy a**....  Wonder which place is the best looking to french some antennas? |

 Put some more parts in place...ain't it at least a little bit pretty?  The paintjob works even in sunlight, no dents or dings that show up...  Yuk. Dirty.  Washed engine bay.  Alternator bracket  Intake manifold, carb and air cleaner.  Radiator, before.  Radiator, after a quick spraycan resto.  Good clearance with the Volvo 360 water pump.  Very tight around the alternator, will be "fun" to route the radiator hoses here....  Running a cut down Volvo 240 hose on the upside. Not optimal, but I guess it will work.  Think I have a solution down here with a Volvo 120 series upper hose....just bend a tube and use a straight hose to the pump.  Very tight around the heater control valve too, thanks to the brake booster. Have to get some 90 degree hoses.  curse word. Found this gascap from a 1970 Ford LTD and I think it would have looked great to mount it flush to the body, but it was time to see that now when the rear wing are already painted.  Got seat brackets from a Cortina, was told that they are the same as Escort, but that was wrong, so I had to reshape them a bit...  Made some prototypes for the seat bracket consoles out of wood.  Reshaped Cortina bracket  One console fabricated, just need some welding and drilling...and then there's three left. :/  Put the right steering wheel in. I like the banjo style steering wheel but it needs the 444 dash to look right, it looks wrong against the 544 dash.  curse word, I have no good rear bumper. Need to find one since the ones I have look like trash.    Sketching up the design for the flames, do you think those will work? |

 Since good rear bumpers seems to cost, I am making my own custom bumper. I had some good front bumper horns, so I am going to run just them, turn them upside down and use an older license plate light (a bar that is mounted between the bumper horns) from a 50s 444.  Swedish license plate is a snug fit in between then...perfect!  Something like this with the horns....  Some cutting required, but what the heck, this ain't the rarest parts in the world. Planning on a similar treatment up front, with a stainless tube between the horns. |

 A prototype of the bumper. It's slightly off center, one horn is missing and the wire between the trunk handle and license plate light bar is not going to be included in the final version. But I guess you get the idea? |
