Anyone got any pics of modified early U11 bluebirds?
Ive just bought one and I'm looking for some inspiration, (I'm thinking stock but lowered) the only pics i can seem to find of Nissan/Datsun bluebirds are of the later face lifted ones and pre 83 ones
I would post a few pictures of it but i'm not sure how?

low,wide wheels,and your there.cant find pics of any but most 4door J saloons are similar shape and work well with a hard slam.  |

Thanks for that rysz didn't relize I had to host them first  well here's a few of pictures of it (there not the best but I haven't picked the car up yet so I had to nick them off the ebay listing  )    as was said above low with wide wheels and jobs a good un (well I have to sort out the fact that its only running on two cylinders first!) |

Nice one! That Bluebird was on my 'watch list'. Glad it's been saved from the banger/scrap types.
Where are you based? Nairn is quite far north...

I live in Aberdeen so I'm nearer to it than a lot of people, nairn is still a good 80 miles from where I live though:( (finding any 'Interesting' car in aberdeen is pretty hard for some reason)
Did have the feeling that if I didn't get it, it would end up going round an oval track or get weighed in which would be a pity as there getting rare especially early ones.

I live a bit closer to Nairn, about 30 miles away. Hope the 'running on two' issue is just down to a cracked distributor cap or something like that.

Yeah i'm hoping so as well I'm guessing that its a carb and dissy its fitted with and not fuel injection ect, as it's been a long time since i've worked on one of these so i cant remember what setup they had |

Was looking around for some info on u11 nissans I came across these on another forum .   yes its the same car i just bought bit of a coincidence i think, they were taken a year ago by the owner before the one who has it now when he was selling it. I'm itching to get it home now so i can get it on the road. (have to wait till my mate gets back as i don't have a car with a towbar and it will need towed:( ) anyway does anyone fancy photoshoping it slammed on some cool wheels (i've got photoshop but haven't quite got the hang of it and my attempts are quite bad to be honest :  so i can see what it looks like ;D |

shows how well the old girl polished up in those older pics. wouldnt take much to tidy it too. i.e new plate and some t-cut

Have you ever seen the RWD Datsun/Nissan 810? Was called the Maxima in this market, fantastic power, truly a fast upscale highway bomber. Ours was a 1982 with the big straight six. Black on grey.

I remember those... Datsun (by Nissan) 810 Maxima.
Poor thing didn't know if it was a Datsun 810 or a Nissan Maxima! I remember the neighbors across the street had this burnt Orange one... Diesel Wagon no less with wire wheel hubcaps. And then my friend's mother had one.. the talking version.

And then my friend's mother had one.. the talking version. Yeah, ours was a talker too, a squeaky oriental synthesized voice, which we finally defeated somehow. I'd ten times rather have our gas Z-motored RWD Maxie than a U11. Not even a close call. |
