205 stdt cool car, pretty quick handles well but I don't class it as retro. gti xs or rallye yes but not an stdt. Saying that I think you should buy it then you can save money and spend more on the BMW/manta ;D

Surely reto should apply to the whole range, not just certain variants. I vote yes

The diesel ones are great! My daily chugga is one, non-turbo though. The STDT one is for winners, I voted a resounding yes.

Surely reto should apply to the whole range, not just certain variants. I vote yes Probably should. But normally without thinking if I see a nice looking gti or rallye I always do a double take and have a closer inspection if I see a a bog standard 1.1 or diesel I just walk past.

I'd love a std mint 1.9 GTi - problem is they don't stay mint for long, and finding one that a chav hasn't covered in cardboard and plywood is hard to find!

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Damn good cars though. iRocco, watch this space. I'm considering selling my 1.9GTi in the next couple of months. Probably looking at about a grand, but it is an excellent example - 98k, good interior, service history, etc.

You can't beat a nice standard GTi.

Say what you want about the build quality, rust proofing ets. One thing Peugeot have ALWAYS been great at is putting absolutely the right wheels on their cars. How right are those speedlines. (see also my ZS, 595 GTi, 604, 205 1.6 Gti etc etc)

I think the Peugeot 205 is retro. It used to rally in the Group B back in the 1980s which is quite retro.
I had to sell my 205 last Monday. There was too many things wrong with it. To get it right it would cost more than the car itself.
