Been playing with this for a while its a 1980 (ish) rampar (raleigh of america) R10 bmx with ashtabula crank and gooseneck stem, box bar handlebars and mongoose motomag wheels, dry built it the other day and now I'm happy all the bits work its being stripped for paint etc.. enjoy- heres some pics....    |

I like motomags. only ever seen them in old bmx books. I got a Lester cast alloy rear wheel from a boot sale for £1.  |

That's a Mk1 Burner frame! I guess that's where Raliegh UK got it then? Wouldn't that fact make yours rather valuable? Burner for comparison. |

Rampar was Raleigh bikes sold in the USA.
think it might have been a license deal or something.
Theres a different seat clamp and mounts for the chainguard
Is there a coaster brake in the rear wheel?
if so are you gonna have another brake on it?

Those wheels are literally amazing! Want them, and I haven't even ridden my BMX in years. well get it out and get peddling (at 35 I don't consider myself too old!) the wheels are being polished at the moment along with the chainring and seat post so should come back looking even better soon! |

That is awsome on so many levels. The wheels rock and i like the seat but would have a leanback post if it was mine. But its not, and it still friggin rocks anyway makes me want to dig out my old bmx out of the shed  |
