After selling my Lada, I have just won this on ebay..... This obviously led me to wonder what could be done to give it some retro-cred! Any ideas? Rally seems to be the way to go...

I saw a mint green estate drive through town a couple of months back. It was slammed on small wide black alloys with a polished rim and appeared to have had the bodywork smoothed. Either way, it looked the tits!

Oh, n821 van that is the best of the skoda felica challange cars, was owned by danni and clive dunbabbin... how do i know that? well if its still there, on the nsr quater there is a dint where my second lada rolled into it outside julian broadhurst unit in warrington... that was where it was stored in thellwall top car with proflex the lot. mate, get your to the brit rally forium, talk to skodarallyfan, simon clark, he had a truely stunnign felica, works kit, lamp pod the lot for a road car. i went to an international once and was stunned how awesome it looked!

Either way, it looked the tits! Kid from Farnborough owns it, looks awesome, apart from the MK6 Scrote grille fitted to the front. Rmad has a pic somewhere, I believe.

Well, bought it yesterday, and I'd tell you what it was like to drive, but errrr. .... I've forgotten. Almost as boring as the Volvo 440 I had. Oh, well - its only a daily. It definately needs a suspension improvement at it corners terribly! I'm going to be receiving a largeish amount of money soon, so I'll buy something more Retro and cool then. My Lada might even be back up for sale by then!

I've had quite a few Felicias and they may not be the best car to drive, but they can be fun, mine is a bog standard 1.3 but its nippy enough for around town, and even surprises a few of the local chavs etc in their mobile stereos.
Plans for mine are to lower and stiffen the suspension, change the wheels, (may put my 14" Manta alloys on it), and a bit of smoothing, i think the euro look really suits the shape.
The Skoda Motorsport liveried rally car above, is powered by a 160Bhp Vauxhall Red Top, and is a pretty quick car on the rallies i've seen it on, and the driver enjoys driving it just as much, if not more than his ex works Impreza.

What you did with the Lada would work really well on the Skod. Hard slam, and a set of banded steels would look hard as nails. IIRC mk3 polo suspension bits can be made to fit, and there's plenty of room in the arches too. My old one: And a P-chop I did:
