Ive got the chance of a cheap set of BMW E34 alloys with new tyres for less than a set of tyres for my current rims (which I dislike with a passion ;D) so the question is should I get them or not. excuse the badly done photoshop I am in a hurry ;D as it stands at the minute with very old cracked uniroyals tyres not fit for highway use ;D 5 series alloys without centre caps or I could put the centre caps on and put opel badges over the BMW ones.

I thought they had different stud patterns?
Aren't 5 series rims metric too?
If they do fit then they'd look OK, but they'll look much better with black centres.

Senator A`s, monza`s manta 400`s are all 5x120 same as BMW 5 bolts. Carlton senator b`s vectras are 5x110. **For sale Carlton GSI alloys excellent condition never been fitted offers ;D ;D**

Unless you paint the centres black, it's a nay from me on these. Soz. I think the existing rims are OK. Not nearly dished enough, but as standard wheels go they're pretty good.

I think that`s the main problem with the standard wheels they are completely flat sided and sit inside the wheel arches. The offset on the e34 wheels seems to be about right. Might try another photoshop with black centres later on.

Here is my honest opinion:
Silver wheels: 0/10, they look totally wrong for the car. Black wheels: 6/10, much better, but the intricate spokes look all wrong with the chunky styling of the Monza. Standard wheels: 9/10, lovely job.
I have spoken.

I am not too convinced about the look of the wheels myself. Problem is the only wheel options available are BMW ones and most aftermarket ones available are flat sided which I don't want I need them around 30-40mm dish to be able to fill the arches. A lot of the german monza`s seem to uses azev 5 spokes which look okay but are out of my price range at the minute. I might still buy the BMW wheels anyway and just swap the tyres onto my rims

Dish and offset aren't the same thing...don't rule out flat faced rims - IMO they'd suit the flat sides of your coupe. Most BMW rims should have enough offset to put the wheels further out in the arch. Do you know the standard offset/ET value? Here's a potentially useful chart with some offset indications for later BMWs: www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/BMW___Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern_Reference.cfm

Personally I don't like BBS-style alloys, but with them black / polished they're ok Can't you get a nice set of Azev's? Edit: I really need to learn how to sepll..........!

The standard ET is 49 and from what I have been told the wider track of an ET of between 25-32 helps the handling somewhat
