Dagenham plates? If memory serves, do they end in HK? 90s Ford Press cars used to end in "OO" I seem to remember *geek*

aaaah or do they? OR DO THEY? my mum won an Escort Convertible - 1993/94 i think it was - nothing exciting, it was a 'Dash' special edition, gutless 1.4 in a heavy car. It was durly presented to her by the local dealer, and it was wearing the reg K86 CAR - i was all geeky at this age and found out that this was a Chelmsford reg. More than that, the chappie at the dealer told me that Ford liked to use CAR plates on their 'special' cars and it was close enough to Dagenham to get them registered as such. I've seen a few other press cars with -AR plates too.

I've seen a few other press cars with -AR plates too. Curse you *shakes fist* ;D Now I'll have to go trawling through old mags... I know for sure that "OO" was used a lot on Mk5 Escort RS2000s and early aero-Granadas etc. CCC Magazine had a "YOO"-plated RS2000 that they used a lot in the Ford RS2000 challenge... About 1990ish? I think I'm trawling the real depths of my car geekery here... I'd start a seperate thread but fear it'll reveal my true sadness! Who else remembers: OPR 911 TU 18 (I think? TU something anyway) THE 928S all numberplates that appeared on more than one car in road test reviews... the manufacturers swapped the plates from one demonstrator to another... No prizes, but my unadulterated admiration for anyone sad enough to know the TU one ;D

Who else remembers: OPR 911 TU 18 (I think? TU something anyway) THE 928S You need an I-spy book for those area codes! Incedentally...the TU 18 was 1800 TU wasn't it, found on Rolls Royces. What about 911 HUL? I think that was found on Porsches for years. Of course there was the famous 100 MPH...as found on...(I know the answer but who else does?)
