Trying to save my ratty 62 Velox and the engine is trashed. Need a decent 3.3 for it, has to be complete, etc... also need someone willing to crate it for shipment to, stop laughing, America.
Yep, it's going in an LHD Ex-Canadian car that's sitting in a garage in the shadow of NY City.
Any leads appreciated!

Your in luck friend, I've got one! ;D It's complete minus the flex plate... She runs beautifully and i can get you a video of it running too. How would it need packing for shipping and how would you go about getting it collected? I don't mind helping you out but i don't fancy taking it to the shipping yard...  |

Awesome!
Shipping is the part I need to figure out, obviously air freight is way out of the budget/question.. I need to see if there are any LTL container shippers..etc. Figure if I can work out shipping I'd just need it in a crate or something so the shipper can pick it up, get it on a boat and get it to New Jersey.

Oh you haven't looked into shipping yet then? I thought you were all set for it!
I'll get my mate to come and film it tomorrow and if you give me your email address i'll send it to you, probably best to send it via PM for privacy... Anyway the motor will be coming out in the next couple of weeks so when you're ready let me know...

I had a way to ship it and when I gave them a phone call today they said that they considered a used engine to be hazardous material so they won't transport it.
Swines.
Flexplate is no worry, it's going in a non-hydramatic PA so I'm keeping the 3-speed manual box.

I think i may have a lead on a shipping company fella! Is the old engine out of our car? I need to know how much it weighs but can't find the info on the 'net, also i need your address please?

I can pick up at any freight depot in the NY City area or in New Jersey, if it's going Ocean Freight that would be port Elizabeth or Port Newark.
