The indicators on my delightful new Marina seem to be at best completely random.
It goes like this....
When you start the car from cold, they work OK(ish). Not as quick as perhaps they ought to, but not terribly slow. Kinda in that way that all "old gifford" Marina's & Viva's used to have slow repeaters.
However after a few miles the indicators become progressively slow in their operation, eventually to the point where they stop working altogether.
Anyone whose ever driven a Marina will know that it is impossible to change lanes on a motorway at 80mph AND give clear handsignals of you intention at the same time, due to the inherently wobbly characteristics of the vehicle.
So before I attack it this evening.... any ideas on why this was happening?
I'm assuming it's the bi-metallic strip thats fooked, but could there be any other probable cause?
It's best for me to know in advance see, as my record with auto electrics is not great (set fire to two cars fiddling with wiring ).
