	Thought I'd introduce you all to 'miss unlucky' my B4 Audi 80 TDI, so named due to her checkered past with lady luck! I brought her from the Miss's old man around 2 1/2 years back for a very reasonable sum, considering she had 180k on the clock she was in good nick with just a little paint fading here and there.. with in a couple of weeks I'd picked up some nice rims with tires real cheap and managed to track down some 60mm drop springs, this along with a debadged grill and a polish transformed her I think this was when she got a bit greedy and expected £££'s to be lavished on her weekly!! I ended up replacing every suspension component.. shocks, wishbones, roller tops etc etc then wheels bearings front and rear.. then brakes front and rear, it just didn't end.. then one day on the drive home I just turned into my road when bang?? I found this... snapped wishbone!! that was a couple of months old!!! 'firstline parts' be warned. bent steering arm, twisted sub-frame, shagged wing etc.. it just so happened that a mate was scrapping his 80 at the time of all this, he kindly donated his car which to be honest saved her.. cheers Chris I repaired all the mechanical parts and just used it to run around in... next up some nice young lady decided brakes weren't the way to stop but my car seemed a much better option!! funny thing is that very day I'd just spent £400 on paint materials for her respray that following week that was what saved her this time.. so of we went to a local scrapy to get a 1/4 panel, once that was done we got stuck in a mended the 1/4 and prepped her ready for some 'VAG LP3G' loving Chris getting ready for some loving himself.. VAG LP3G an awesome colour! all done.. big thankyou to Chris for slapping the colour on and also Andy for all the help top blokes... be nice to end it here, but that wasn't to be, she started using a little water and being busy all the time I'd forget to top it up, one morning running late for work I asked the Miss's to top her up for me, then on the way to work just passing a 106...bang.. looking forward I could see a big red thing?? my bonnet , still good job I was only doing around a ton then?!!? (on my own stretch of private road of course).. get on and fix that then , does it ever end.. specs as follows.. engine 1.9tdi all steel uprated headgasket large injectors Dawes device allowing 18psi chipped de-cated single box exhaust system ramair filter drivetrain 6 speed gearbox chassis lowered 60mm with spax springs and shocks polly bushed brakes disc's & calipers from a 2.6 petrol Audi 80 body debagded grill fully colour coded BMW style rear lights tinted front lights & indicators bonwarth single wiper pretty much everything thats been done has had to be made by myself or modded to fit, this aint no Halfords build ;D next up for her is a front mounted intercooler and some coilovers (which I also need to make ).. hope you enjoyed this, keep ya fingers crossed for her she needs all the help she can get..

I think so it looks rude. deffo worth it ;D I did forget to mention she's on her 2nd engine thats on is second rebuild .. and also its 2nd gearbox the 5 speed became a 4 speed with 3rd going south (still managed to woop my mates in his golf VR6 at the time tho ) now got the six'er..

How much power? thank you .. power I'm not to sure tbh, started out with 90'ish, de-cat, exhaust and filter 5-10 hp, larger injectors 20'ish hp, 18psi 10'ish hp, chip 20'ish hp, doesn't add up-to alot.... but the torque is unreal ;D ;D I do want to get it rolling roaded but I'm waiting for when I've done the front mounted intercooler, plus I'm thinking about even bigger injectors and maybe a hybrid turbo? probably get this lot done then look at a custom remap rolling road session

	ooo i like this! and i love the diesel tuning! my daily is a 99' A4 with this engine - been tempted since i bought it to go the big injectors and remap route, but am worried about what this might do to my mpg and engine life?

'if it anit broke your not using it properly' ;D ;D

	Thats one fine Audi 80 mate, worth all the work you've done to her. I like the mods, almost looks like an RS2

I did try to pursue it with them but they weren't interested they basically implied that although I had brought 2 firstline wishbones from a local motor factor, could I prove they were the ones fitted to the car? pretty sh*t really think it'd be pretty hard to snap either the wishbone bolts or indeed all 3 ball joint bolts tho

	well I guess the time had come for lil'miss to break again, for some time now I've been using alot..(around 2 liters per day) of water, pretty sure its down to a blown head gasket, which in turn was more than likely due running .230 injector nozzles and 24psi! but in my defense it was only a trail, which lasted only a few weeks.. haha.. anyhow I'd got a spare engine that I won from evilbay for £27, complete with turbo, alternator and pump. I did intend to rebuild this engine to a good spec to allow more power, but was now in the position where I either replaced the head-gasket on the existing engine along with head bolts and head work etc resulting in ££3's.. or just slip the cheapy engine in for now and rebuild the other motor, ever one for the cheapest solution I went with the motor swap. here she is all stripped out, having done this way wayyy to many times now, I've modified different parts so as to be able to remove in sections rather than parts if you catch my drift. the replacement engine built up, alternator was trash, as was the turbo the old tired engine.. once all in, I then spent a day trying to get it to run, the amount of parts that had been transfered from the old engine was huge and this in itself didn't help trying to work out what was wrong, I had no fuel delivery to the injectors but.. the bleed offs were returning fuel?? in the end I changed the pump, bingo we have ignition but.. boy it was knocking and tapping.. out came the cam and lifters and were replaced with the old engines ones, which did reduce the noise a little. next was to check the pump timing with a DTI gauge, I have to thank Don at Banbury car clinic 01295 254641 at this point, not only for the loan of his workshop, but also for setting the pump up for me, the bloke is a genius!! once done she run smooth and true, if a little slow, standard boost, ecu and injectors to blame for that! next up ... engine rebuild

	That is a very sweet looking Audi. I was on the way to my brothers wedding and a woman in one of these was halfway across the road. Turns out exactly the same thing had happened to her front suspension. Weird!! Slight digression, but hey ho!

	I have a spare engine at the moment if you want that. all in good order but in bits, broke the car as eletrics bogged on the car and i didn't want to spend any money on her! I also have quattro brakes that made a great improvement on the 80. how did it go with the boost turned up?

	could very interested in the engine and other bits, flow me a pm if you could to sort something out.. with the larger nozzles plus the extra boost it was a hoot! wheels would spin in 1st & 2nd with little prompting, and even in 3rd if driven hard. would keep up with petrol sports cars very well.. next up for it once the engine is finished is a quattro conversion, as the biggest let down is the lack of traction.
