This was up here before, but I decided to put up a tidier advert with more elaborate pictures.
All in all, it's not a bad car mechanically. It is a solid car with good sills and floors, and with a fair bit of mechanical work done over a couple of years ago (and now;was stood up for 2 years before I bought it) including:
Clutch (30,000 miles ago)
Discs and Pads
Lower Arms/Balljoints
Front Dampers
New Driveshaft (O/S)
Cambelt change 4 Months ago with service
4 New Uniroyal Tyres all around
Full new exhaust system.
Genuine Ford 90A Alternator
New Wipers
Alpine Type E Components with a CD Player
But it is not all roses. The bodywork has a matt/satin sheen to it as you can see from the pics. You could try to polish it out, but it needs a respray ideally. While the Electric power hood works, the roof is ripped to ******y (£130 for a new one). Interiorwise it could do with two new seats and doorcards. Final two problems include the rear wheelbearings are noisy (doesn't vibrate, but they are noisy (£8 each, or they may just need regreasing), and the fuel pump relay is fubarred (as they did on previous XR3is my dad has had). This went shortly after I bought the car. I repaired/cleaned the relay up, but it ideally wants a new one. I have put a fuel switch in for the time being, but will try to source another relay before the end of the auction (same relay as used on the MkII Orion 1.6i and Cologne 2.8 with K Jetronic injection).
I have been as honest as I can. It does have MOT until April (it flew through the last MOT), but it is SORN'd. It's done around 7,000miles this year, and besides the fuel relay it has started on the button, and actually been a fairly good car on fuel surprisingly.
I would like £450ono.
