That's a neat beast you've got your mitts on. A big old Volvo is undeniably cool.

i agree you cant beat a volvo for understated coolness..................not to forget wet roundabout action i reckon insurance group ratings are totaly wrong a 240 is grp14 so i got put off buyig one and got a 340 instead at grp7 =no difference in insurance premium i'm 19 atm and i too enjoy cars that other people my age(on average) wouldnt go near with a bargepole (including my mates) however youll never get pulled by the law,it will never be nicked, its more fun on wet roundabouts so i reckon "older generation" choice cars are a win win scenario Well Done

Sweet. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) great to see you enjoying it, the handling and mostly the Automaticness (oh and economy on teh 2.3), was enough to stop me bidding on my dads 240. was great though, so useful, such a cool cruiser and space for 7, eat that soul-less MP3V-buslike thing! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Nev will be jealous.

my uncle had one of these for years! the car met the back of another car when some plonk pulled out in front of him. but in true volvo style it destroyed the other car and got us all home even with a broken rad! great cars! and more importantly, nice shades! retro aviators FTW! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

plans are to make it handle slightly less like a whale in the near future. long term, B23F+T. think il ditch the towbar as well. Torslanda's are the last of the 240's made in the factory at torslanda and are suposed to be able to cope with extreem freezing conditions.(no electric windows and has heated seats) B200f doesnt realy make use of that lsd. cheers for coments. only niggle with it is no reverse lights. ![](http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg17/harrycc/DSC_1952.jpg)

Very nice, the 240 series are some of my favourite Volvos, but cheap insurance... I was under the impression 240 had large engines. Nice aviators by the way. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

a big fat v8 would test my wallet to destruction:( much prefer a redblock with silly amounts of boost. just a pipe dream for now. time to pimp it out some more with pictures...... ![](http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg17/harrycc/DSC_1977.jpg) ![](http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg17/harrycc/DSC_1982.jpg) ![](http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg17/harrycc/DSC_1993.jpg) bit of a photoshoot at the beach. was nice apart from the people killing a rabit with a large stick because their dog caught it. I think i want it lower but il have to shop it and see. quite like the current stance of it as is.

Can't you just cut the wires to the LSD on these to make them active all the time rather than at sub 20mph? Cracking ride btw, hit it with a big stick though. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

if i had more power it would be active a lot more. its just hard to spin the wheels at anything above that speed. bieng a clutch type lsd it needs more power to make it work above these speeds. planning on lowering it moderatly with bilstein springs n dampers. allso steam clean and waxoil it at some point soon. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) so yeah only a little lower probably 30mm, wil shop it soon.

Sweet ride Dude - those 240's look (and feel) like they were carved from solid Scandinavian rock! Always loved them..... Now you need to find a large stick and bring it to its knees: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/Retro/Volvo.jpg) FTW!!!
