....that is my new hero! ;D ;D This is the sort of level I hope to get with the right stick on my little Rascal....but a little less poke on the rear. Want some of those arches! I've already been looking at Mk1 Golf GTi front spoilers (the one above looks pretty similar - spooky!) and I was even wondering only last night what it would look like with an oil cooler bolted to the bumper....WIN!! This has given me the inspiration to down tools on my Delica project (current reason for not being on here recently) and get back to work on the rascal!

Went up to Derby last weekend and collected the little van from the seller. He met me at the station hand over the keys and made a dash for it ;D Luckilly the wheels did not fall off or broke on my way down to Essex and pretty much had a good ride home. Well except for the worn front seat It ain't perfect but for the money you can only get so much suppose. Just over 88 000 miles, still goes strong and no visible smoke or lazy ass feeling from the motor. I checked the oil and water after 200 miles and seems to be fine. Will keep my eye on it as usually things like this is a good indication of what is going on. Leaky stuff no good There is some surface rust visible which I want to treat asap. What is the best way about this short of a complete strip down, sandblast and repaint? If I can get in there with some sandpaper etc to clean and get it down to the metal and then treat it properly with primer and paint. Not sure what would be the best type of products to use on an application like this. Suggestions and comments welcome I have pressured washed the arches and they seem to look ok and still snow white under all the muck Stuff like this I want to sort Wheels wheels wheels, what to do!! Would it be bad going 14" on the back and 13" in the front Will I cause myself more hassle and stick with same size all round? Don't want to roll it out of the drive way ;D Going to keep it white and pimp it up with stickers, yep that's right watch this space Motor looks ok thus far and won't spend to much on it now, will stick some go faster parts on there at a later stage Interior Grizz already supplied me with a nice big AMP + Sub, going to build a boom box to suit and portable. Am looking to change the single seats to bench seat if possible. Our springer spaniel is always with me and get's a bit cozy with the Mrs and Bella trying to share the same seat sticking their heads out of the window ;D Let the games begin......

Nice van as I said Maverick, (having driven it a bit) and as long as you get your hands on the rust soonish, you should have a nice toy and tool there for some time. How about the bike in the background...... ?? Motor transplant ?? 100 plus BHP . Shaft driven ?

Who digs up all these threads??? I love it when old threads get dug out of the closet and dusted off..... .....and while we're at it, have some shamless shots of my Rascal (aka Suzuki Carry) Van ;D On HotWire's Lotus rims: On my Enkei Baja's (Japanese 'Vecs)

Oh go on then, heres one i had early this year, when we had the snow... a great little van,i wanted one after richard hammond crashed his on top gear. ;D I won in on the bay ,for £260 with the head gasket gone (blooming easy to work on ,and after much tarting ,and fitting some 2nd hand honda prelude seats,i found it wicked to drive. Luckly, with only 88k miles,on a f plate,it was good nick in the usual bad places, like the front arches, and after 2 months i sold it for £400. I do miss sooty.... ;D
