I have to fit - two new rear shocks, new steering boots, two aluminium rack mounts, do a 1" square patch on the RH sill, do a full service, fit my new instruments, tune the carbs, check the tracking and put some new brake pads in. And add the extra 2nd set of calipers at the front, lower her a bit, fit the 4-branch, fit my TT exhaust....list goes on

I'm not worried about finishing my car - I'm resigned to the fact that I won't! ;D Here's what I have to do, with hand Haynes style spanner ratings... well, star ratings....: Rebuild the rest of the V8 (****) Finish the Megasquirt kit (**) Construct the Megasquirt system (****) Take out the 2.0 (*) Fit the V8 (*****) Shorten the propshaft (***) Test the engine (*) Solve inevitable problems (*****) Get an MoT (**) Fix bodywork (**) Paint rest of car (*) The phrase "cat in H ell's chance" springs to mind!

I cant see the pictures either.
I've got loads to do aswell. I had the last week off work to try and get in and break the back of it but all i seem to have done uncover more problems. Pluss all the polybushes i ordered wont be here till tuesday and the Mtech recaros I spent a day fitting sat too high so I had to spend another half a day taking them out and cutting out all the mounting brackets I fully seam welded in place. On the plus side though I've sorted out most of the rust, gobbed up the rust I couldnt be bothered to sort out ;D, Painted all my chrome window trim satin black (although I'm starting to think i prefered that as it was too) and fitted my new crystal headlights. It will be at retro cars though, although in patchy primer and bits of blue, or I might spray it in biege high build primer and guide coat for that real urban assault vehicle look.
Oh yeah, the gearstick fell off the other night too, better sort that out aswell ;D

There's now virtually no chance whatsoever that my Golf will be at the RCS. Got too little money and too many other bills that sadly have to take priority

I have to get the bimmer MoT'd this week, and taxed too. Will either be cheap(ish) or horrendously expensive. If it's not too much, I'm tempted to get the ticky valve sorted but sod's law would dictate it'd still be in bits at RCS o'clock. In addition, I've got a whole load of "bufty" work to do, in a vague attempt to make it presentable. More cutting / polishing on the bonnet & roof, and the "Taity" routine on the engine bay, which is still rather grubby. As for the Marina, well that will need some petrol and.... er that's it. Like I'm gonna spend ANY time on that fugging heap!

I don't think the Rocco will be completely finished either..... I've started doing the prep work for the spraying, and have only got this weekend to finish the whole car............! I think the only job I won't get round to doing is lowering it - I've still got to find a set of uprated front shocks before I can start........ the rears came yesterday though - £10.50 for a pair of 1 year old Boge's! I need to get hold of some 5mm spacers for the rear alloys as well...........the list and expense goes up all the time - dame this website! ( )
