Just spoke to Dave, he and the Euro convoy are at Clacckett Lane services on the M25.
He asked me to post up here.
The Cosworth engine Self Destructed in spectacular fashion.
Waiting for his Euro Assistance to arrive and take the bus back to Germany.
Thereafter they are back on the road to Gaydon with the other busses.

it was very sad to hear that dave had problems with his bus, i too was looking forward to seeing it. i was also disapointed that i wouldnt meet the great man himself. i was so pleased when i found out that dave was still coming, albeit in another of the busraser vehicles. dave you are a top bloke, i really enjoyed chatting with you on friday night. good luck sorting it out, i shall look forward to seeing it sometime in '09.

Here it is in pics…… not what I wanted to be doing – but……. All OK off the ferry, although OB had mentioned a 'noise' he was worried about Thought this was a joke, not a way of life No pic’s of the disaster as the camera was the last thing on our minds to be fair! The tank earned it’s stripes Thought we got lucky – but he drove on by….. Then this one was less than useless And told us we’d be getting a flatbed in 1hr15mins as he toddled off into the sunset Unfortunately – he lied ……. and a further 3hrs later our knight in a fluorescent jacket arrived with lorry But we got it loaded and the man was still smiling Tanked it up to Gaydon, got there in the small hours and introduced ourselves around a bit. The only way was up John
