I see this Mini most days. I think the owner lives in Runcorn. It's quite tidy - better than it looks in the pic - and sounds great! Clubman too, not too many around now really. However, one look should reveal my problem: What ON EARTH is that doing on the roof?

Next time you see it parked up.... TAKE IT OFF! Carefully mind, so as not to cause any damage. Also fill the holes and dab some paint on. While you're at it, sort out those rear lenses and gross-font number plates.
Leave a note under the guys wiper....

Fugg me, there is NEVER an excuse for those meccano spoilers they look SH1T. This is not my opinion it’s a FACT. By putting that on he has thrown away all cred he gained from driving a rat/performance old mini. If you see that again, make sure you put all the windows out and empty a chemical toilet into it, in protest.

Start with a nice car then add tacky spoiler. Why would anyone do that?
Suppose it adds that all important downforce on the rear wheels ;D

There's a Lotue Elise down my way with one of those spoilers 'glued' to the back - and the point is............?
What speed do you reckon they start to work?

I try to be eclectic, but that poor Mini really doesn't deserve a spoiler like that, and I'm sure it doesn't need one either, I mean Minis have been racing competitively for years without silly spoilers on the roofs! Really though, I reckon it'd look much better without the spoiler, and maybe with normal tail lenses, but that's just me, I'm not sure of the clear stop bulbs myself, although clear indicators can be nice on some cars.

Perhaps it's there so that the driver has something to grip onto when he's pushing it? ;D
Or maybe it's so that he can hang it up in his garage? ;D

Arg! How to ruin a well modded car in one easy stroke... but wait... maybe there's an explanation. I reckon it's actually fallen off of one of the shopping trolleys in the pic. Some thoughtful sole has seen it lying on the ground and thought someone might run over it. They've then carefully placed it on top of the Mini, out of harms way. Or..... maybe he just had a style by-pass. If you see him, ask him how many degrees of inclination he has found the spoiler performs best at. Also, could you ask him where the nearest wind-tunnel is, he must use one to set it up properly, surely. Or maybe he has one in his garage....

Of course the joke may be on us and it might just be an ironic take on the spoiler obsessed subclasses?
Didn't think of that did you? ;D ;D

nah, just change the angle of attack on the rear spoiler and watch the back take off at 60mph.

Quite Funny Really as that mini now looks like the shopping carts across from it in the picture. I don't get this F1 Wing stuff even on Big cars like the supra its just not needed and looks well Nafff

Just to prove that that car would be nicer if it didn't have a footbridge stuck to the roof, I've done this (admittedly very very bad) photoslop job on it... And I'm sure you'll agree it's an improvment, other than the fact that in some countries a photoshop job like that carries the death sentance! ;D ;D ;D

Believe it or not, a wing like that can have a beneficial effect on the handling of some front drive cars. Trust me on this. This however, is not one of those cases
