...Project Buzz Box.
I was having a flick through some old PVWs that I've got and read a couple of issues with the build of of Buzz Box.
Bought the latest one the other day, mainly because it had the 944 engined Mk2 and a feature it in said that Buzz Box donated its running gear to thier new project and they never got any official times from it.
I'm guessing from that that somebody had a bit of a whoopsie with it?

Actually...How would one stand fitting mkII beam/front suspension to a mkI for an instant track increase?
Or, for that matter, mkI/II Golf into mkI Polo?

Project Buzz Box was written off I believe, probably by that tosser Elliott who's now editor. To put Mk2 16V rear discs onto a Mk1 just use the stub axles and the rest of the brakes, and Scirocco 16V handbrake cables. Mk1 and 2's have different mountings for the rear axle. Same at the frone - totally different.

Or, for that matter, mkI/II Golf into mkI Polo? Would be very tricky with the Mk1 Polo as the front suspension is totally different to the Golf, no lower wishbone setup just a sort of thin rod for the bottom arm. You can buy a specially made German front subframe for them though as used in Mk1 Polo/Audi 50 racers I believe, someone on the ClubGTI forum had some.

To me, that reads as 'strip front end, remove chassis legs, construct spaceframe with Dual wishbone suspension and replace panels with Dzus fasteners.' *n
