You fuggin' 'box has just shat litres of 'box oil all over the boot of my motor! Now, in the sun especially, the car smells like the ar5e end of a scrap yard ... ...which is quite pleasant, actually... Anyone one have any good ideas about getting smelly oil out of carpet and boot felt? BB

Turpentine and a water blaster, let it soak in a bit of turps for a while and then sit it on a pallette or something a little higher off the ground and blast as much out as you can and then wet vacuum /shampoo machine it. Oil is a curse word, you may have to do it with turps a couple of times.

Phone the leasing company or whatever. Tell them that a bottle of oil you had in the boot fell over*. Get them to sort it out.
(* this plan may not work. no company car driver in the world carry oil with them, surely!)

(* this plan may not work. no company car driver in the world carry oil with them, surely!) Everyone knows company cars don't need oil! Also that red bit on the rev counter, that's a "cool-o-meter" - the further up it goes, the cooler you are.

How strange! I picked up a Renault 30 gearbox at the weekend, and what happened? 1 pint of stinking gear oil all over the passenger footwell! Yay!

Sounds like a meet for the n/w retro riders is in order. Possibly ee, GTM, Darren 'pix' W... any others in the area? Do you know the pub on the road between knutsford and Holms Chapel? There is a car meet every Wednesday. Sometimes it is just rice rockets, other times it is kit cars, caterhams, custom cars, bike, whatever is out and about. Fancy going along sometime in the future? Offers extend to anyone who can make it there, it is just off the M6 at Jctn 18 (?). BB PS I'm just down from the Ducatti bike shop on the A50, if you know it.

Neither do I, unless you count my 480ES! Although the vectra has it's moments... But then again, nah! ;D Reckon that it'll have to be in a couple of weeks, as I'm not going to be around, so you have time to buy! I meant the warrington and district meet, here. Not been to this one, I actually stumbled across the other cars when I was out in my little smoker last year. Here is a map. It is every tuesday. BB
