Vehicle Description
1975 BMW 530i 5spd Tremec TKO 500 Calif lic # 5RGY394 chassis # 5021046
51,430 original miles & 2170 since conversion – 160 miles on engine
rebuild. Orig A/C car with dash controls but no comp, or condenser now.
This is a non-sunroof car.
This car is a “work in progress” project. Everything mechanical
Is new or rebuilt. The car is ready to get in and take a trip if needed.
There are unfinished things that need attention like, the center radio
Consol is old and has cracks from being removed and reinstalled so
Many times to finally get the right gauge package figured out. And it
Needs a new leather shift boot made. The weather stripping in the door
Jams is showing it’s age as is the rubber trim around the front windshield
& rear glass. There has been numerous stereo’s and speaker’s installed over
time and there is a little mess from it in the glove box, nothing serious just
needs someone to sort through it and eliminate the un-needed wires. The interior
is in very good shape for it’s age but not perfect. There is a small 3’’ cut in the
driver side seat lower left bolster. Other than that there is no other damaged
areas in the interior. The carpet is not the original loop but has been replaced
with a cut pile type (see pics). It does not have any tools in the trunk tool kit &
it does not have a spare tire or a well to put one in. The carburetor that was chosen
to be used was done in an effort to make max hp, it is the type that doesn’t have a
choke horn on it, when cold the motor has to be choked manually with a rag to get
it started. Once started and wormed up its fine for numerous restarts all day long.
My point is, this is a hotrod type car not an air-conditioned, smooth, quite overhead cam
Type like your typical bmw is. Everything that’s been done to the car has been very well
Thought out & engineered . The car is rock solid, haul’s ass, is a blast to drive, get positive attention every where it goes and couldn’t be duplicated for anywhere near my
Reserve price.
