As per title has anyone got a (prob a long shot) g/box from an MGF?
Also looking for a 1600 or 1800 (non VVC) k series engine.
I'm in Oxford, obv the closer the better, but will travel for a good'un.

Is there a dedicated MGF 'box? Thought they just used the ubiquitous PG1 gearbox.

I'll PM the seller and point him to this thread !! Ace! Thanks very much, though as it's Lotus rather than MGF or rover I fear he may be asking more than I want to pay. It is a PG1 'box, but one from a k series car (MGF, 218, MGZR etc) has a different bellhousing to one from a T series car.Also the mgf (and prob the elise) uses a hydraulic clutch and a cable gear linkage which will make life MUCH easier for where it's going to end up. |
