OK, so it suddenly dawned on me how close RRG08 is. I then made a to-do list of jobs I have to do on my car. I then looked at my diary. I then looked at my bank balance. The numbers just don't add up. So I'm 99% sure that the Benz won't be appearing at RRG08. There's just too much to do, and too little time and money. So yeah, despite AlistairK's Patent Mojo Rejuvenator TM it just ain't happening and the old mojo has taken a kick in the spuds. The Benz will be finished, and hopefully before winter draws in, but it looks like I'll be in a Sunburst red Mk3 Escort. ;D On the plus-side, this arrived from Germany today!

Anything I can do to assist fella? I'm pushed for time myself but if I commit to do something for someone else I usually manage to fit it in...

Unfortunately it's time and money which is putting the kybosh on things most. I'm starting a business which means it takes up all of my time, and doesn't pay me anything at the moment. The welder being knackered doesn't help, but it was an "executive decision" on my part to extend the deadline beyond RRG08.

Dean, Let me know if there is anything that I can do or if you need an extra bod for something? Now the nights are lighter, I can get away from the house most evenings.
Do you want to get me your 'To Do List' and I can see if there is anything that I can help with... Unfortunately, my bodywork / welding skillzorz are less than fantastic, but can turn my hand to most other things...
Rysz.

If you have a bottle you can borrow my welder if you need to mate. I'm not using it at the moment and it possibly needs a quick fettle to recommission it as its not been used for a couple of years at least (now I drive imports I don't need to weld so much - you saw under the Olds!)
What line of business you in?

In fact I have a pratically new bottle you can have if this can help bud.
Its the same conclusion I decided upon with the Midget, it was yoggin all my funds at an alarming rate, plus with a long holiday and the BGT not how I want it I decided to put it on hold till the end of September.

Nice wheel will match the dished ones nicely. See how you go, I know the Benz is part of the show, always good to see. Just bring ya good self if its still ill. reee-peatYep, similar problem mojo is erm, well, 'OK',, but I apper to have a garage full of exploded Ford parts, and a van thats more ratty and less cool than it was last year, actually thinking about not even showing it.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

how much of it is just making it capable of driving? you don't have to do the expensive mods that aren't necessary, if it means showing up in something besides a mk3 Sorted

Thanks for the kind words fellas! Sorry for the whingey thread. Like I say, it's more the time factor that's the issue at the minute - a lot of welding and panel fabrication still needed, and I can only spare a few hours a week on it, and if it's raining during those precious moments I'm scuppered! ;D I'm not *that* down about it - it will still be finished soon, just not in time for RRG08.

Sounds like the story of my life mate. There aint no shame in hanging out a deadline though, at least you'll know when it is done it'll be done properly rather than having a car that looks good on the outside but thats a load of half finished temporary jobs underneath.

Yup. Shame it won't be there but take a breather and just think how cool it will be once finished. I predict many a shout of orsums! No point flogging yourself to death.

Like the other locals, if I can do anything to help then let me know, but don't ask me for money as I need a get rich quick scheme myself at the mo.
