See if you can buy a cheap compressor and a clark spray gun for the re-spray

yeah that you would be right the star is a little worse for wear now, ill be able to fix it but want the beetle finished first haha, havent flown that in a year now  |

i started off with one then aother trainer then an ancient T180 now flying a yak which is a bit twitchy but so much easier to land

Couple more pics of the lovely job today, probably wont be on for a few days as I'm moving tomorrow so unless there’s some free wifi at my new place I wont be able to get online till my place is connected  Well here’s the grand unveiling, pretty dashing I hope you agree haha ;D     I know the top of the door isn’t painted yet I've not quite finished but I wanted to see this before I go for the next week, hopefully finish it off next weekend |

Red lights ftw! Black ones would probably look a lot more sensible though, it all depends on how much you want to stand out from the crowd. I wouldn't leave them white though, either black or red. Is the paint job getting a clear coat? What paint did you use?

Thats the thing, it was my first spray job and its not great so I'm not sure if i want to stand out to much. But i am getting a resounding yes on the red atm. I do like the idea.

Just read up on this - I did my old bug the same shades..... the finish looked OK from a couple o'hundred yards in thick fog - if you squinted ;D -) it was a terrible first attempt.
Nice work, good to see some movement and no doubt the end is nigh

thankyou very much, like you say there are somethings I'm proud of and other I'm not so (paint job). Yeah hopefully with in the next 3 or 4 months she will be road legal again
