Hi all, great site, I've been lurking for a while, joined up now ;D Not sure if my car is retro enough if it is I will post some pics. It's a 1991 B3 Audi 80 quattro, let me know if it fits in with this site ;D Cheers.

Hi, some pics, this is the car as bought from evil bay in March did a few cosmetic mods, clear lights, 90 back panel, different wheels, removed badges from rear, then a good polish and wax ;D Then thought I'd try 90 headlights and front bumper Yesterday I got some red B4 rear lights in the post (Avant) so I've put them on, (no pics yet) Now have to colour code front and rear bumpers, get some decent wheels, then lower it. Hope it meets with your approval ;D

Looks like you have the same thing as my Quattro with the clear front indicators! They don't **quite** fit properly That will look very smart all colour coded. I see you've changed the 10 spokes for some of the 90 slabs too. Get them stripped and polished, it'll look really good in white, low on polished wheels, especially with the solid metal wheel centres. Don't know if you can get chrome handles and mirrors for these? Finally, where did you get the clear/smoked rear indicators? Never found any yet!

Not tempted by a coupe type bumper? Little more aggressive looking...
I loved my 90Q (somewhat infamous RR car)

Finally, where did you get the clear/smoked rear indicators? Never found any yet! Got the rear lights on ebay, taken them off now, got red ones. ;D Not tempted by a coupe type bumper? Little more aggressive looking Tried fitting a B4 coupe bumper this morning, but looks like I'll have to change the bottom front panel, as it didn't quite fit

B3 Coupe bumper: Very similar to the 90 one, should bolt straight on I reckon. See what I mean about the clear indicators? The driver's one is the worst, it's banana shaped!

Looks good, did you change the wings for B4 ones? They seem to be more flared than mine. I've got a Coupe quattro, B3 but it has B4 bonnet, maybe the bumper will fit off of that.

AFAIK it's all standard. 1990 model but first registered 1996, imported probably but don't know for sure. That said, the wings may have been changed at some point, although it would have to have been quite early in it's life as all the paint looks the same sort of age and shade.

Hmmmm, if you look at my wings, they are flat compared to yours, they definately look like B4 ones, weird ;D
Whereabouts in Somerset are you? and do you ever have any local meets?

I'm near Bridgwater. There is a Southwest meet which was near Frome. Never managed to make it yet though..... either work or something else going on. There is a thread about it in the Events section, not sure if it's still a goer though. retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=eam&action=display&thread=34969Anyway, back on topic. Audi Quattros are great aren't they? Really must mend mine so that I can drive it sometime soon.

Ah, I used to live in Bridgwater. Yes quattros are great, mines a bit slow on the uptake though, I've got a 90 20 valve, non quattro, I was going to try and swap the engines but I need the car everyday, so just stripping the good bits off it to go on the 80, putting the 80 bits back on the 90 so it doesn't look like a wreck ;D A bloke in Warrington does 20v into 80 quattro conversions (£800) but he wants the cars for a week and its a bit far to go

Could try Audi 4 U in Bridgwater? Last time I was in there they were doing a 20V Quattro to S2 spec conversion. Useful for spares and stuff too. Used stuff was quite cheap, I got a Quattro back box for £15 and as you probably know you can add a 0 to that for a new one.
