This was going to be played with along similar lines to the Bedford Rascal 4x4 built by Steve & Richie (SR Cars) but after discussing the amount of work needed to do the conversion on a van (quite a bit more work than the amazing job they did on the pick-up), I have had a change of plans. On top of that - seeing a lot of metal on here, you guys have inspired me to slam it and get the wheels banded (PM already sent to & received from JamesP) to make it more of a street sleeper (street sweeper if it goes low enough ;D) Here it is 'as is'.....my £50 purchase which will become my daily work van when finished: Not sure if I should just drop it and fill the arches then leave it as it is - or paint bomb it with matt black (possibly olive drab?) Thoughts & input appreciated.... Also not sure if I should keep the bull bar on (picked it up cheap) or go for clean lines?? (banded spare possibly? ) Any input/ideas/suggestions welcomed....

Or do a full on mystery machine! I've seen it on CFs but never a mini version on the rascal.
Matt black or olive might just make it look like a shonky old decorators van, I think it needs "proper" paint. Slammed on wide wheels with the back in the air for a mini "custom van" look? Chromed bullbars?

yes yes YES!!!!! *dibble * That Rascal is legendary And also up for sale: Bike powered RascalI need the van to stay as a van because I'll be using it for work, so I figured going low and keeping the mods simple was probably the way forward?

humm, well you'll just have to leave it looking stock then.... Slammed and banded for sure, but I was wondering about colour coding the bumpers/grille....or just leaving it stock and letting the drop/wheels do the talking? Quite keen on the colour - never seen one in this green before...

Oh absolutely drop it, leave the body work stock so it just looks like it's carrying a big load, subtle banding + that grille, maybe something other the spare wheel up front?
I think a suzuki g13a(or b!) should drop in, would make it a nice goer with being too radical a conversion.

Slammed over wide steels works for me! You might think about doing the wheels black with yellow or white lettering (or perhaps just a pinstripe around the wheel rim) for a nascar look, as per the Boxystyle Hiace. For the full look, you can get a diddy-sized chin spoiler and arches (look in the reflection) too! I would say that the bull bar wasn't in keeping with the look.

Blocks under the axle on the back & some coils out of the front springs? Suggestions/advice welcome.... As for the paint, liking the original green, but might look for something a bit more retro (more classic olive) with my company logo down the side. The colour isn't right, but this is what will be written on the sides: With some of these positioned in strategic places too: With some satin black banded steelie's I think it would look quite cool?

Yeah, cut coils and lowering blocks would bring it down alright, dunno how much though - depends upon how conservative you are at the time I suppose!!!........I know its a lot of money but airbags would be superb - at least you could load it up and still use it when its been lowered?? Those logos are superb by the way, they'd really suit this little fecker. I'm now thinking of your Olive Green bodywork with the logos and a shiney black roof? ? Defo lowered and maybe banded black steels and trim rings?? What about some chrome mirrors and plastic chrome the headlight surrounds/front grille section and bumpers too? It'd be toooooooo coooool for school Excuse this sh it MS Paint version but here's it lowered and banded steels in place:

I love that colour. I would leave it as it is, and get some wide 13" mattig steels for it. I think it would suit it if they had a matte silver finish. And maybe some more retro mirrors would do the rest.
