This thing has been a 5 year labour of love! It started out as a standard (zero mods) L300 Delica fresh in from Japan: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/Odds/Pre-Mod.jpg) (taken on the weekend I picked it up back in July 2003) I wanted to create one in the 'J' style where they lift it and beef it up a little. Over the years it has gradually grown and grown.....and now looks like this: The Extra Urban Assault Vehicle ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/My%20Motor/MM01.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/My%20Motor/MM04.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/My%20Motor/MM05.jpg) It's a never ending project and the list just keeps growing! Well over 1,000 man hours have been spent on it (and quite a few ££ too) but most of the mods were designed, made and fitted myself to try and replicate the look they achieve in Japan. It's pretty practical too....

Nice - you take a good photo as well sir! Many thanks - it's only a cheap digital camera (2nd hand, nothing fancy!) but it does seem to take some good shots.... My fave so far is probably this one (a genuine 'chance' shot!) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/My%20Motor/Police4a.jpg)

Hi Bruce You know what I think of this ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) and the quality is 2nd to none. Thanks Richie.... As a sidenote for you Rich - the Rascal is now going to be slammed and banded, so currently on a different course than when we discussed the other day. (all thanks to what I've seen on here!) .....and I've only got you to blame after you mentioned this site the other day!! I'm hooked now!

Its fantastic....loads of cool cars and restorations + you don't get shouted at if you fancy chopping them. I'm kinda glad you have re-thought your plans it was gonna be a real tough build......although the sugestion of a 1:1 Tamiya Lunchbox on the Rascal thread has really got me thinking ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Is this the one I read about somewhere that performed heroics in the flooding?
If it is, copy the story here!

Is this the one I read about somewhere that performed heroics in the flooding? If it is, copy the story here! Fook me - how the hell did you hear about that?? You're right - this was the very same machine! I'm just amazed that someone on here would know about it!! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

That's mental. What's it like going around corners?

That's mental. What's it like going around corners? Pretty good. 6 x shocks on the back and uprated anti-roll bars combined with stronger springs. Very heavy duty torsion bars on the front and camber corrected ball joint spacers (a headache to design & make!) 14" wider track over standard means the extra height is more than compensated for. It handles about the same as a stock motor, but you can sure scare the sheeeet out of passengers when you enter roundabouts at speed! (plenty of 'whites of the eyes' in peoples rear view mirrors too!! ;D)

This little lot keeps the rear end in shape: ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/Under/JAE026.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/Under/JAE027.jpg) ![](http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/bruceholder/L300/Under/JAE030.jpg) The front end isn't as vibrant - but took about 20 times longer to figure out all the geometry! Camber correction is a proper ball-ache on something this lifted!
